Silver Lining

Sessions

Many people picture laying on a couch and staring at the ceiling, while a ‘shrink’ asks you about your childhood experiences and past traumas. While this is certainly an approach, my approach is much more natural, conversational, and, if I’m being completely honest, humorous at times.

When you first come in, I do an initial intake. It is important to get as full a picture of you as possible within 50 minutes, while also giving you an opportunity to share your primary reason(s) for seeking therapy.

Following your initial session, we will spend time each week focusing on your reason for initially coming into therapy as well as any new objectives that we have discovered. Frequently, what you think has brought you into therapy isn’t what you end up needing to spend the most time on.
